Kimono Rental
Yumeya, a kimono specialty store, is conveniently located within one-minute walk from the popular Hirosaki Park, well-known for the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival.
With a history of over 40 years, it is our hope that our foreign guests discover the distinct beauty of kimono and have a remarkable experience during their visit in Hirosaki.
Hirosaki is a great destination for viewing cherry blossoms or simply exploring the city.
Guests can coordinate their own style of kimono and Yumeya’s professional staff can also assist in selecting the perfect style that matches the cityscape of Hirosaki or a specific occasion.

1 Inquiry/Pre-booking
Advance reservation is highly recommended to ensure availability.

2 Check-in/Payment
Payment is due upon guest’s arrival and check-in.

3 Kimono/Yukata Selection
We have a wide selection of yukatas/kimonos, geta sandals, and other accessories in stock.
A specialist is always present to assist guests with selection and coordination, if needed, to suit any special occasion.
4 Dressing Service
Approximately 30-40 minutes are required per person for dressing.
This service is included in the price.
5 Sightseeing in Hirosaki
The castle town of Hirosaki is filled with quaint historic architecture and old-fashioned cafés.
We offer information about nearby sights and restaurants to our guests.

6 Return
Please return the yukata/kimono along with all rental items to our store
by 12:00 p.m. noon on the following day.
Important Notices
Notice regarding Damage to Rental Items
While there are no additional cleaning fees for dirt or stains caused by regular usage (food stains, mud), we may charge an extra fee of up to 20000JPY (tax incl.) for intentional or excessive damage (permanent markers, burns, rips/holes).
Notice about Return
Please return all rental items to our shop by 12:00 p.m. noon of the following day of your rental.
If your return is late without prior notice, we may charge a late fee of 5000JPY (tax incl.) for every late day. If you have unavoidable circumstances and inform us beforehand, we will allow delay of a few hours.
When the rental items are lost, we will treat it as a purchase and request an additional fee of up to 20000JPY (tax incl.).

Dotemachi 100 Yen Loop Bus
Board at “Hirosaki Bus Terminal” stop and get off at “City Hall” stop.
Our store is right across the street from the city hall bus stop.
